MSc thesis project proposal

Detection of prostate cancer in urine

A surface acoustic wave (SAW) device is proposed to detect antigens associated with prostate cancer in urine. The SAW device sends a mechanical wave along a surface and the speed of this wave will be modulated when the antigens of interest are trapped. This project will involve the design and fabrication of the SAW device with testing. The testing will require coating the surface and measuring with sample at Erasmus Medical Centre.

Assignment

The main aspects in this project: Simulation, Design, Fabrication (including coating of the surface), Measurement.
